China Grand Canal is one of the greatest projects constructed in ancient China, famous for its oldest and longest canal in the world, begins from Beijing and ends at Hangzhou, so called Jinghang Dayunhe in Chinese, with its own 1795Km long and 24locks and about 60 bridges. The Grand Canal communicating Yangtze River, Yellow River, Huaihe River, Haihe River and Qiantang River, flows through Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. In ancient China, the Grand Canal plays and important role to connect river systems for navigation between the north and south in China, promote the economic and cultural exchange and strengtherning the unification of the country.
